At Above & Beyond USA, we look for passionate pilots to join our mission of uplifting children in need through the joy of flight! Your skills and experience can help create unforgettable experiences that inspire confidence and joy in young hearts. By volunteering as a pilot, you’ll have the opportunity to connect with amazing kids and share your love of aviation in a meaningful way.
To ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for everyone, we have a few pilot requirements:
- 300 hours of Pilot-In-Command (PIC) time
- Possess a current FAA Private Pilot License or better
- Hold a current FAA medical certificate or be medically qualified in accordance with the rules of BasicMed, FAR part 68
- Have a current flight review in accordance with FAR 61.56
- Maintain the recent flight experience required to carry passengers in accordance with FAR 61.57
- Fly an aircraft with a current airworthiness certificate and annual inspection
- Ensure the aircraft is properly insured (typically $1 million bodily injury + $100k/seat; provide the Declaration page at the morning briefing)
- Sign the Pilot Agreement, the Pilot Fly Day Certification, and the Volunteer Waiver of Liability
